This is the best known moment of the local feast days in Segorbe, Castellón. It takes place in the second week of the celebrations. Several horse riders guide a herd of bulls through the crowd at two in the afternoon, Monday to Sunday. The event attracts thousands of people for its spectacular nature. The riders surround the herd of bulls with their horses and start off a dizzy race with them. The route runs for around 500 metres and is truly exciting. It takes place on Colón Street and there is no barrier separating the animals from the public. The tradition has its roots in the 14th century. The programme of the festivities in Segorbe is rounded off with open-air celebrations, concerts, competitions and fireworks.
