100 years of Eduardo Chillida in the Telefónica Collection

The exhibition “100 years of Eduardo Chillida in the Telefónica Collection” displays, in Chillida Leku, a selection of pieces by the sculptor, which are owned by Telefónica. During the 1980s, this telecom company led pioneering work in corporate collections. Its commitment to art and culture resulted in the acquisition of a substantial set of sculptures and works on paper by the artist Eduardo Chillida.

Pieces of iron and wood, soil, alabaster and Corten steel were added to the newly established Telefónica Art Collection, along with paintings by Picasso, Juan Gris, Tàpies and Luis Fernández. Eduardo Chillida's sculptures stand out and empower, by their nature, the modernity approach in the Telefónica Collection with great solidity and relevance.
