This pilgrimage in honour of San Francisco Javier takes place every March in the town of Javier, in Navarre.

During the two first weekends in March, thousands of pilgrims flood the roads leading to the Castle of Javier in order to venerate the Saint. This pilgrimage covers a distance of over 50 kilometres and it is always takes place in an atmosphere of good cheer. It origins go back to the 19th century, when the intercession of Saint Francisco Javier was said to have liberated the Navarre town from a cholera epidemic.
