The Artegunea room at Kutxa Fundazioa, based in the Tabakalera cultural centre of San Sebastian, presents Jesús Uriarte. Chillida Lanean. This is an exhibition that highlights the professional and personal relationship that photographer Jesús Uriarte maintained for more than 20 years with Eduardo Chillida, an internationally renowned sculptor. From the simplest drawings to the most monumental sculptures, Uriarte's photographs documented intimate and unprecedented aspects of his work process.
Curated by Jon Uriarte, the exhibition's starting point is four essential materials in the career of the Gipuzkoan artist: paper, earth, steel and concrete. Jesús Uriarte's images show the spaces, times and people involved in each of them from the closeness offered by their friendship and their continued collaboration over time.
