The Lleida International Latin American Film Festival has been held in this city in Catalonia since 1993.
The event is open to films produced, either wholly or in part, by Latin American companies or individuals, and which have not been commercially screened in Spain. The films compete for the Audience Award and the various award categories granted by the international jury.
