Description

The first thing to catch your eye is the building itself in the form of a cube made from over 3,300 glass panels in 37 different colours. A unique and surprising space that has received international acclaim and been awarded the Mies van der Rohe architecture prize. What will you see? A collection of over 1,650 works dating from the early 1980s, specifically since the fall of the Berlin Wall through to the present day, and almost 400 national and international artists, including Anri Sala and Pilar Albarracín. Throughout the visit you'll be able to create your own itinerary, as there are no corridors or indicators to mark your way, only high ceilings and white concrete walls creating the various exhibition rooms. Don't miss Its wide-ranging programme of talks, film cycles, concerts and encounters with artists that will make you feel you are genuinely a key part of the museum.
