What to see In the coastal area you'll find endless stretches of sand where you can enjoy all types of water sports. We recommend renting a sailboat or taking an excursion to see dolphins and whales. This area is home to the famous beach of Las Américas and the Puerto Colón marina. The town is just a few kilometres inland from the coast, and here you can explore the centre, with attractions such as the church of Santa Úrsula, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Casa Fuerte and the El Granero defensive structure, the site of interesting exhibitions. Excursions You can take hiking routes in Adeje around the protected nature area of the Mazico de Adeje and the Barranco del Infierno gorge, where you'll be rewarded with spectacular views over the Teide. If you take the coastal route along the you'll come to the beaches of Las Américas, Los Cristianos and Los Gigantes. Don't miss a fun day out in Siam Park, one of the largest water parks in Europe. Gastronomy The local cuisine is based essentially on fish and shellfish accompanied by the spicy sauce known as 'mojo picón' and the delicious 'papas arrugás' (tiny potatoes boiled in their skins).
