These 216 kilometres of broad peaceful beaches are located between the sea and the mountains in a large area of Tarragona, and our combined with the offer of a wide range of sports, entertainment, art, history, nature and to the reminiscence of the Roman Empire. On its beaches you'll find a large number of activities for the family, particularly in resorts such as Salou, Cambrils and Calafell. The contrast between the landscapes of the coast and the interior offers numerous options and surprises for enjoying nature. You can take a boat trip up the Ebro Delta, the second most important area of wetlands in Spain, or visit the Ulldecona caves, with rock paintings over 8,000 years old. What can you do? There are numerous marinas and water sports facilities where you can go scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing and enjoy a host of other activities. You'll find the cultural area in Tarragona, with monuments dating back to Roman times and an archaeology walk. What's more, the Costa Dorada is the birthplace of the artist Antonio Gaudí, who you can get to know better in his native city, Reus.
