Beaches of golden sand and transparent waters, exotic landscapes and a mild climate that hovers around 25°C. Fuerteventura is all this and much more, and is also the second largest island in the Canarian archipelago.Read more...
Fuerteventura is certainly a good choice for a holiday destination thanks to its excellent white sandy beaches and its year-round sunshine. Along its over 150 kilometres of coastline you'll find beaches with crystal-clear waters to suit every taste: long beaches with black or white sand, secluded coves or beaches with sand dunes. Take a dip at the beaches of Morro Jable, Costa Calma or Caleta de Fuste, and if you can, take a visit to Lobos Island just a few kilometres away.
Its shallow crystal-clear waters are perfect for water sports like sailing, waterskiing and surfing, although the two most popular activities on the island are windsurfing and scuba-diving. Its coastline is known all over the world for its wind and waves, which have earned it a place as a key fixture on the World Windsurf Circuit. Fuerteventura is also the perfect destination for scuba-divers, and its caves, crevices and tunnels conceal a wide variety of multi-coloured fish.
If you want to explore the interior of the island we suggest an excursion on a camel, or following one of the trails that criss-cross the island to areas such as Mount Tindaya and the Betancuria Rural Park.
