What to see The old quarter, its streets and quaint plazas full of shops, restaurants and orange trees, such as Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Tree Square). In Plazuela de la Iglesia you can visit La Encarnación church and a tower that once formed part of an old Arabic fortress. Puerto Banús is another popular area. It is a famous port of call for luxury yachts from around the world. It boasts many luxury boutiques and exclusive residential areas. Active tourism Marbella and the surrounding area has 15 prestigious golf courses, many of which hold international tournaments. It is a golfers' paradise on the shores of the Mediterranean.
