What to see Let's start with Gaudí. In Reus you'll find the house where he was born, the church where he was baptised and the school he went to. Make sure to see the ‘child Gaudí' sculpture. Once you've seen his origins, a trip to the Gaudí Centre will be highly interesting: 1,200 square metres of exhibition space dedicated to his work. You can touch models of the Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera or see a reconstruction of Gaudí's workshop. Reus is part of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network, a network that includes towns with the most important Modernist heritage in Europe. This is why you shouldn't miss the Modernism Route: a pleasant stroll round the historic centre to see 26 buildings such as the Institut Pere Mata, Casa Navàs and Casa Rull. There are guided tours that grant access to places normally closed off to the general public. You could include Plaza de Prim square on your tour, with its beautiful Fortuny Theatre, and Plaza de Sant Pere square, with its views of the entire Costa Dorada. Trips As well as Barcelona, in the area around Reus you'll find endless beaches on the Costa Dorada, Salou, Tarragona or the exciting Port Aventura theme park.
