What to see The narrow streets of the town hide monuments, mansions, museums and small palaces for you to discover. These include the Parish Church of Sant Bartomeu, the Bank of Sóller, and the houses and small palaces that fill Gran Vía street. Make sure not to miss other important buildings such as Bell Esgudard Castle, the Casa de la Luna and Can Moratal Palace. For spectacular views, head to the vantage point at Plazoleta de la Miranda. Another good way to discover the city is on the tramcar with period carriages that links the city to the port. Beaches and active tourism The city’s two beaches, Es Través and Can Repic, are great for a swim or water sports such as diving – one of the main activities in the area. Gastronomy Taste the artisanal sausages such as sobrassada, or pork pâté, and traditional dishes such as sopes malloquines [bread and vegetable soup] or pork mixed grill. Make sure to try the ‘garrovetes del papa’ (sweet biscuits made from egg yolk and sugar) – a sweet only found in Sóller.
