What to see The walled centre will catch your eye that conserves some of the old gates and towers such as Jaca, Nador and Zaragoza. Once inside, you can visit the castle and keep, as well as the Church of San Esteban, which is right next to the castle. If you would like to see where Ferdinand the Catholic lived, head to his place of birth: the Palace of Sada. Inside you can see a courtyard, remains of the walls, a fortified tower and a private chapel known as the Church of San Martín de Tours. Do not miss the view over the old Jewish quarter behind the Palace, now known as the ‘barrio alto’ or high district. The Monastery of Valentuña house a collection of objects from other lands brought back by the missions of the Augustine Friars, whilst Plaza Mayor square is home to the Town Hall and the Isidoro Gil de Jaz School. Festivities The Bonfires of San Sebastián are a tradition and held on the saint’s day on 20th January.
