Playa de Mónsul, Níjar (Almería)

The lovely, unspoilt Mónsul beach and its scenery have been highly valued for many years.In the protected area of Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, Mónsulis one of the best places you could choose in Almería, just four kilometres from the pretty village of San José. As soon as you arrive on the beach, the dark golden sands will grab your attention. As you stroll along the water’s edge you’ll discover the famous peineta, a cliff of volcanic origin which forms a ridge washed by the waves. Caló des Moros, Mallorca (Balearic Islands)

Caló des Moros is near the Cala Llombards complex, around six kilometres from the town of Santanyí, in the Balearic Islands. Although this is a small cove that’s none too easy to reach, as you walk slowly down the stony path you’ll see a beach that’s the stuff of dreams, surrounded by plants and low cliffs. Vegetation and small cliffs form part of the environment. With its soft, fine white sand, it’s a perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming in cool blue waters and enjoying the beauties of the impressive seabed. It’ll be love at first slight.

Praia das Catedrais, Ribadeo (Lugo)

Praia das Catedrais, the beach of the Cathedrals, is the nickname of Aguas Santas beach in Ribadeo, Lugo. Although swimming isn’t allowed, the beach is famous for the impressive arches of rock between the cliffs. These can only be seen at low tide, when you can walk beneath them. Remember that if you decide to visit, you’ll need to check the tides first. The beach has been declared a Natural Monument by Galicia’s Department of the Environment for its stunning natural beauty.
