Do you want to make a complaint about a tourist service?

All establishments are required to have at all times the forms known as the 'hojas de reclamaciones' in case you wish to make a complaint. You must fill in this document, which has three copies. You need to present one in the tourist establishment itself, another copy is for you, and the third must be submitted to the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) or the government office in charge of this function in each place. If the complaint is upheld, the tourist service company will be required to pay a fine. You can present the third copy in person, by ordinary mail, and in most cases electronically via the official website for each area.

How do electrical appliances work in Spain?

A practical tip: the electricity supply in Spain is AC 220 volts, 50 Hertz, and the plugs use the model with round pins. Most hotels will provide adapters for special plugs on request. Make sure the electrical appliances you are going to use (computers, mobile phone chargers, shavers…) run at this voltage. A word of advice: if you're a frequent traveller it's a good idea to acquire a universal adapter.

Is nudism prohibited on the beaches of Spain?

There are no laws specifically prohibiting nudism on beaches. In other words, it is not an offence unless there is indecent exposure. However, remember that some town councils have regulations which prohibit nudism on beaches except in specific areas, so the best idea is to look for places where nudism is authorised. In fact in Spain there are more than 300 nudist beaches. You can see the features of all Spain's beaches in the guide published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
