Description

Camp Nou stadium

This is the largest football stadium in the whole of Europe, with a capacity for over 99,000 spectators. It is also the home stadium of FC Barcelona. Its facilities have been awarded the maximum distinction by the UEFA: five stars. Opened in 1957 under the name Estadi del FC Barcelona, it has always been popularly known as Camp Nou until finally in 2001 this became its official name. If you can't see one of FC Barcelona's matches, you can always take a tour around the most emblematic corners of the stadium and its museum. You'll learn all about the club's history, you'll be able to see its trophies and the area dedicated to the Argentinian player Leo Messi, and you'll experience what it feels like to be a real player as you go through the tunnel from the dressing rooms onto the pitch. Its facilities include a crèche, restaurant, television studios and several of the club's offices.
