Doñana National Park

Description

What is it that makes this national park so special? Doñana is home to widely differing ecosystems such as marshes, lagoons, pine forests, riverbanks, dunes, and 25 kilometres of unspoiled beach. You're bound to be amazed at how the mobile dunes (some are over 30 metres high) move from the beach until they bury all the vegetation in their path. This is a unique 'spectacle' in Spain. What animals can you find there? Doñana is the most important wetland in Europe, and is home to thousands of birds depending on the season. It also has endangered species such as the imperial eagle and the Iberian lynx. What's on offer in the park? Various companies organise itineraries through the park in 4x4 vehicles, horse-drawn carriages, by bike… And if you prefer, you can reach the interior of the park along the river, on board the Real Fernando sightseeing boat.
