Islas Atlánticas National Park

Description

One of its beaches, the Rodas beach (in the Cíes Islands) has been regarded as one of the best in the world. In fact the Romans called the Cíes (the best-known islands in this nature area) 'the islands of the gods'. But in addition to beaches, this collection of islands in Galicia also offers cliffs, the submerged hulls of ancient ships, and landscapes that must be seen at least once in a lifetime. What animals can you find there? It is home to important colonies of seabirds such as the yellow-legged gull and the European shag. What's on offer in the park? There are various scheduled boat services to take you to the park. Check the times of the year and operating schedules before you leave. If you want, you can moor a boat and scuba dive in the park, and even stay overnight on the Cíes Islands. However you need to request prior authorisation for all three activities.
