Sierra de Grazalema Nature Reserve

Description

It is a group of deep ravines, rivers, underground tunnels and caves between Cádiz and Málaga. Essential places to see? We'll begin by recommending the gorge known as the “Green Gorge”, with walls 400 metres from ground level. Other special places are the “Hundidero-Gato” (with almost eight kilometres of tunnels), the “El Salto del Cabrero”gorge or the “Cueva de la Pileta” cave (with prehistoric markings). What animals can you find there? You can see the flight of griffon vultures or the golden eagle. An anecdote: one of the largest bat colonies in Europe live in the “Hundidero-Gato” system. What's on offer in the park? There are different tracks, but if you want to really see the beauty of the Llanos de Líbar and the Pinsapar routes ('pinsapo' is Spanish fir and they are one of the typical trees in this area). If you are an adventurer, try hang gliding (at the Algodonales and El Bosque stations), caving or abseiling at the Green Gorge.
