Ruins of the Hospital of Vera Cruz

  This stands barely 300 metres from the Shrine of San Roque. These are remains of the hospitals which were built to attend to poor and sick pilgrims who came to the monasteries to fulfil promises or to seek help on the coastal road to Santiago on its way through Cantabria.
