Salina Palace

Salamanca

The building was commissioned by Rodrigo de Messía and designed by the architect Gil de Hontañón. It is in Renaissance style. Its name, meaning saltworks, refers to the former use of the site to store salt. Inside, there is an irregular-shaped courtyard decorated with figures of twisted bodies. It currently houses the offices of the Salamanca Provincial Government.
