Costa Tropical

costa-tropical

We begin our journey on the west coast of Granada known as Costa Tropical. From here to the city of Málaga, we will enjoy the varied landscapes of this rugged coast.

The Costa Tropical has five tourist centres: Almuñécar, Salobreña, Motril, Castell de Ferro and La Rábita. In all of these, you will be able to try sports such as windsurfing, surfing, scuba diving (there is Posidonia seagrass), sailing, water-skiing, golf, etc. And how would you like to sail on a yacht?

Beaches for all tastes

If you are looking for fully-equipped beaches, try La Herradura (Almuñécar) or Poniente (Motril). If you prefer natural coves, you will love the ones in El Caletón and El Pargo. And for nature lovers, there are also options such as El Ruso beach in Albuñol

Other travel plans

Once you are in the area, you can make the most of discovering natural spaces, such as the Sierra Nevada mountain range or the Nature Reserve in the Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama mountain ranges. If it’s culture you’re seeking, you will love discovering Salobreña Castle (which is also a superb viewpoint) and El Majuelo Botanical Park (in Almuñécar). In terms of cuisine, try its famous tropical fruits, shrimp, prawns and lobster.
