Águila Cave

This living grotto is located south of the Sierra de Gredos Mountains. On entry there is a descent of 20 metres to the Great Hall. Once inside you will see the stalactites, stalagmites and draperies that have been formed by the passage of time and water. The walls keep an even temperature throughout the year of 20 degrees. Inside there is a huge variety of colours such as yellow, orange-red or grey, with a predominance of white. The cave was discovered on Christmas Eve of 1963 by five children wandering around the area.
