Las Maravillas Grotto

An underground gallery of exceptional beauty for its length, the size of its lakes and the large number of formations to be found on the interior. It has a total area of 2,130 metres, of which 1,200 can be visited on a circular tour. Once inside you may experience a feeling of déjà-vu, as there are corners that will remind you of scenes in some of the films in which they've appeared as sets. Did you know it opened to the public in 1914, making it one of Spain's first tourist caves? What can you see on your visit? Its vaults and walls are lined with stalactites and stalagmites which have created beautiful chambers. Some of the most outstanding are the chambers of Los Brillantes, El Gran Lago and Los Desnudos. Other interesting ones are Las Conchas, Esmeralda and La Cristalería de Dios.
