Segovia Cathedral

This is last Gothic cathedral built in Spain. The height of the large tower, housing the belfry until the mid-20th century, stands out. The tower is located on highest spot in the city and offers a perfect panoramic view over the area. Nonetheless, it is only possible to go up to the top with special permission. You can enter the cathedral through three different doorways: the main doorway, with the Puerta del Perdón, the south entrance through the Puerta de San Geroteo or the north entry through the Puerta de San Frutos. Once inside, there are stained glass windows, Baroque organs, the High Altarpiece dedicated to Our Lady of Peace and 18 chapels with major paintings and sculptures.   The Cathedral Museum houses over 500 incunabula, books produced since the appearance of the press until the end of the year 1500.
