Toledo Cathedral

A perfect example of Spanish Gothic style with French influence. Its most ancient doorway is inspired by the doorway to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. It is known as the Door of the Fair, of the Sandal-maker, of the Clock or of the Lost Child. In the Sacristy, the walls will catch your attention. On them, you will see works of artists such as El Greco, Lucas Jordán, Van Dyck and Goya amongst others. The altarpiece in the Main Chapel is made up of five pieces. It contains scenes from the New Testament and is carved in fire-gilded wood. The Treasury is under the tower. The monstrance by Enrique de Arfe, crowned by a diamond cross, is worthy of note.
