Picasso Museum in Barcelona

The perfect place to discover the essence of Cubism and the work of Pablo Picasso: original paintings showing people designed from geometric shapes. This museum has the largest collection of works by Pablo Picasso from his youth and early career. The artist had a special relationship with the city of Barcelona and it was his own personal wish that the Museum should be built in this city. The Picasso Museum occupies five mansions and has several courtyards on its interior. What will you see? It has a collection of 4,249 works, with paintings donated by Picasso himself, a set of 42 ceramics, and a series of drawings and engravings by the artist. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions of works by other artists. Don't miss Its magnificent collection entitled 'Las Meninas', formed by 58 canvasses.
