Description

This is one of the oldest natural history museums in the world, and is excellent place to improve your knowledge of the diversity of the natural world. There are over six million specimens in its collection, which makes it one of the primary centres of reference on Spanish fauna. What will you see? It has a large number of permanent, temporary and touring exhibitions. The permanent exhibitions include 'Minerals, fossils and human evolution' (a journey through the history of the Earth), 'Storehouse of birds and mammals', 'The Mediterranean, nature and civilisation', 'The Royal Natural History Museum', 'The educational Mediterranean scrub garden', 'Stone garden' (open-air site with rocks and fossilised trees), 'Biodiversity', and the skeleton of a fin whale. Don't miss In the exhibition entitled 'Minerals, fossils and human evolution' you'll be able to pick up a dinosaur in your hands and interact with it thanks to augmented reality.
