What to see A beach with almost five kilometres of fine golden sand. A pleasant seafront promenade to stroll along while you enjoy the sea breezes. A coastline where you can spend the day indulging in water sports. A medieval-style historic quarter with examples of defensive architecture like the towers of Can Ballester and Barona. The city takes its name from its castle, the 'castle of Fels'. It stands on the highest point in the city, and can be visited free the second Sunday in each month. At all other times it is open for group visits with a guide. From the ridge where it is located, you'll have wonderful views over the massif of El Garraf, the Sierra de Collseoral and the Montjüic mountain. The El Garraf nature reserve is nearby, where there are a number of signposted routes to explore on foot, in addition to a Buddhist monastery and an exhibition on Tibetan culture.
