What to see The main attractions are the beaches extending along its 14 kilometres of coastline. Castilnovo and Los Bateles beaches are wide and have a full range of services, and are very near the town. The beaches of Roche, La Fontanilla, El Roqueo and Fuente del Gallo are inviting stretches of sand in a wilder setting.  And against a backdrop of cliffs, some of the best-known coves are Camacho, Melchor, La Encendida and Pitones. As you stroll around Conil de la Frontera you'll find a number of interesting monuments, such as the Guzmán tower remaining from a 14th-century military fortification, and the churches of La Misericordia and Santa Catalina. Gastronomy Fishing is one of the primary activities in Conil de la Frontera, and the main catch is bluefin tuna. That's why in May we highly recommend dishes like tuna with onion, larded tuna, and tuna preserved in brine. There are usually also various tuna-themed gastronomic events at this time of year. The most popular dishes tend to feature seafood, and include baked red-banded sea bream, marinated dogfish and stuffed squid.
