  • El Nublo Rural Park, Gran Canaria

There are a number of reasons for choosing Gran Canaria: volcanoes, beaches to suit all tastes, a varied fauna and flora, waterfalls, viewing points… and all this plus pleasant temperatures all year round.Read more...

It is internationally recognised for its excellent offer of sunshine and beaches, and along its 236 kilometres of coastline you'll find all different kinds: small and quiet like Taurito and Amadores, or broader and more popular with holidaymakers like Maspalomas and the famous Playa del Inglés. In its waters you may spy dolphins or the occasional whale in the distance. This island in the Canaries is also a good option if you enjoy water sports. Scuba-diving, surfing and sailing are just a few of the most popular activities, although windsurfing is the main event –the island is considered to be one of the best places in the world for this sport. Gran Canaria is known as the 'miniature continent' because of its widely diverse scenery –it has everything from winding paths, deep gorges and volcanic landscapes through to beaches and broad stretches of sand. In fact, 46% of the territory has the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve designation. So we suggest exploring its network of paths on foot or by bike and visiting the various nature reserves you'll find in the centre and south of the island, such as the Macizo del Suroeste and the Cuenca de Tejeda.
