What to see If you've chosen Gandía you've probably come in search of sunshine and sea, so the best idea is to make for its beach area with its fine golden sand. You'll find a full range of services at beaches like La Norte. There are also other smaller ones like the Venècia beach, or peaceful beaches such as L'Ahuir and Rafalcaid, with crystal-clear waters where you can really switch off. Make a point of taking a stroll through the historic quarter where you'll see monuments like the Ducal Palace, the collegiate church of Santa María and the old university. And to get an idea of this city's important past, we recommend a visit to the Archaeological Museum. Active tourism Gandía is an excellent place for sports, and particularly water sports. Its yacht club has a sailing and rowing school, and at the beach you can enjoy scuba-diving, catamaran rides, or boat trips. Gastronomy The most typical speciality in Gandía is 'fideuà', a dish made like paella but with noodles instead of rice. Accompany your meal in Gandía with wine from Valencia and Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin. Nightlife Get ready to have an amazing time when the sun goes down, because Gandía is also famous for its multitude of pubs and macroclubs.
