What to see Its idyllic beaches on the shores of the Mediterranean. The largest is Lloret Mar, where a wide seafront promenade runs the length of the town. Nearby there are many fabulous beaches and coves where pine forests stretch right down to the shore. The most popular include Santa Cristina, Fenals, Canyelles, Treumal, Sa Caleta and the coves of Banys and Boadella. In the resort itself, you can find Modernist buildings such as La Verge de Gràcia chapel, Can Comadran and the cemetery. We also recommend Santa Cristina church, which stands next to the beach. On the outskirts there are residential tourist areas. When you fancy a relaxing stroll, we suggest visiting Santa Clotilde Gardens. This beautiful green oasis atop spectacular cliffs offers some great sea views. Nightlife At night, especially in the summer, you can dance till dawn. The most popular areas among tourists include Avenida Just Marlés and nearby streets such as Josep de Togores, Ponent and Santa Cristina. Gastronomy We especially recommend the fresh fish and seafood, “escalibada” (roasted aubergine, onion and peppers), “exqueisada” (cod salad) and some delicious “pà amb tomàquet”(bread spread with tomato and olive oil).
