What to see Inland Mojácar, which looks like an Arabic medina. The town centre is arranged into stepped terraces, pretty hidden corners and narrow streets. It has a 15th century castle, a Renaissance church and parts of an old city wall, such as La Puerta de la Ciudad (City Gate) and a large defensive tower. It also has several viewpoints offering spectacular views of the Sierra de Cabrera mountains. Along the coast, you'll find lots of excellent beaches with all the amenities you need. They include Marina de la Torre, El Descargador, Vista de los Ángeles, El Cantal, La Cueva del Lobo, Las Ventanicas and La Venta del Bancal. Nature Mojácar is within easy reach of Cabo de Gata – Níjar Nature Reserve. It boasts many unspoilt coves and protected areas where swimming and nudism is allowed. Some of the most popular include Cala del Peñón, El Sombrerico, Bordenares and Granatilla.
