What to see It is also known as the town of bridges and towers as there are many in the narrow streets. Two standout towers from the 15th century are El Infantado and Orejón de la Lama. The most interesting bridges are La Cárcel and San Cayetano. Meanwhile the large houses, most with coat of arms, transport you back to another era on a tour of the town. The standout religious building is the Church of San Vicente. Nature and active tourism Located at the foot of the Picos de Europa National Park, the setting is ideal for hiking, horse riding, climbing, mountain biking, skiing… Gastronomy The star dish is lebaniego casserole made from chick peas, cured or fresh meat and cabbage. Game dishes are a highlight with wild boar and roe deer, as well as fresh river fish such as trout and salmon. The local artisanal liqueurs are very renowned, such as tostadillo and orujo (whose festival is held in the second weekend of November). There is a market every Monday where it is easy to find these products alongside others such as local cheeses or sequillos (a popular sweet).
