What to see The central streets head to Plaza del Torico square, home to a fountain with a large column crowed by a small sculpture of a bull. There are modernist façades around the square including Casa Ferrán and the Casa de la Comunidad; this latter building houses the current Provincial Museum with its collection of Teruel ceramics and some archaeological finds. The square belfry at the Cathedral will draw your eyes with its decorative ceramics. This tower, alongside the near-identical towers of San Salvador, San Martín and San Pedro, have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. In addition, make sure you go and see the Arcos Aqueduct that crosses the ravine that cuts through the city. On your trip you will discover that Teruel is a city of legend thanks to its famous ‘Lovers of Teruel’ story. The tombs with sculpted figures can be seen at the chapel inside the Church of San Pedro. Active Tourism Have some adventure fun at Dinópolis, the theme park that uncovers the secrets of the dinosaur world. Gastronomy You must try the excellent sausages and hams with Designation of Origin status, as well as the roast lamb known as ‘ternasco’.
