Two weeks in Valencia and the Balearic Islands

This city is home to some iconic landmarks that you simply can't miss if you choose to visit, such as the City of Arts and Sciences, comprising the Hemisfèric, the Palau de les Arts, the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, the Umbracle, the Ágora and the Oceanográfico. The Valencia Silk Exchange is another monument well worth a visit. Built in the civil Gothic style it was the place destined for commerce and all of the city’s commercial transactions.  Very close to the Silk Exchange is the Central market, considered one of the greatest example of the modernist style known as Valencian Art Nouveau. Also worth a visit are the Serranos Towers, defensive structures built in the old city walls, and a stroll through the Barrio del Carmen, one of the most iconic districts in the city. You also can’t leave the city without visiting the Plaza de la Virgen, to see Valencia Cathedral up close with its famous Miguelete bell tower, the Virgen de los Desamparados Basilica and La Generalitat Palace.  Last but not least, you can’t leave Valencia without sampling the varied and delicious Valencian cuisine. Put the finishing touch to your trip by trying a genuine Valencian paella, a dish of mussels and a well-chilled glass of horchata.

This island is world famous for its nightlife and every summer it becomes a meeting place for the world's top DJs.Apart from its iconic nightlife, Ibiza has plenty of possibilities such as seeing quality crafts in one of the hippie markets or enjoying the array of water sports in one of the crystal clear coves, such as Cala Salada or Cala Saladeta.Don't end your days in Ibiza without watching an unforgettable sunset from some of the key spots, like Cala Benirràs, to the sound of the drums.

On your visit to Menorca, you have to visit some of its unique places like Ciudadela with its charming port or the beautiful white village of Binibeca. And like the rest of the Balearic Islands, it also has plenty of paradise beaches and coves where all your cares simply drift away, like Macarella, Macarelleta, Pregonda and Turqueta.Now you can start thinking about which trip you’d like to embark on when you visit Spain.
