Description

The first recommendation or visiting this park: don't forget your camera. You'll want to have it handy when you're going along the wooden walkways specially devised for these wetlands which are practically unique in Europe, and home to numerous aquatic flowers. The landscapes are unforgettable. What animals can you find there? Second recommendation: try and bring along some binoculars. That way you'll be able to see water birds such as the great crested grebe, little grebe and black-necked grebe from close-up. And if you don't have any, don't worry. Throughout the park you'll find several observatories. What's on offer in the park? There are three signposted and self-guided itineraries: 'La Isla del Pan' (circular and covering a distance of about two kilometres), 'La Laguna Permanente' (linear, about 800 metres' distance) and 'La Torre de Prado Ancho' (linear, and 1,500 metres' distance). The Visitor Centre will answer any queries you may have and provide you with a leaflet showing the three routes.
