The Centcelles complex is a Roman villa that was built near Tarraco in the 4th century. The mausoleum is the most important early Christian monument of Roman Spain. Remains of walls and apses have been found during excavations, as well as a rectangular building about 15 metres long. Inside there are two rooms, one with a quatrefoil floor plan and the other circular, the latter crowned by a cupola that is covered with the remains of mosaics depicting hunting scenes, scenes from the Old Testament and allegories of the seasons of the year.It is part of the monumental ensemble of Tarraco, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
