Diocesan Cathedral Museum (Valencia)

The museum, created in 1761, is located in the chapel of the Holy Grail in Valencia Cathedral.

It contains two large oil paintings by Goya, painted in 1799, and depicting Saint Francis Borgia. You can also see paintings from the 15th and 16th centuries with works by Rodrigo de Osona, Yáñez de la Almedina, Vicente Masip and Juan de Juanes. The sculpture collection includes the original pieces from the 14th century Gothic door called the Door of the Apostles and the Christ of the Good Death by Alonso Cano. Also on show are the processional monstrance and other objects of precious metalwork, such as chalices and reliquaries dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries.
