Breaks next to the sea
The “tardeo” in Valencia is becoming more and more fashionable in the Marina. “Tardeo” refers to spending some time on a terrace with views of the sea while listening to live music and having a drink or a bite to eat. The Marina has several bars for this and they are a great option for a break after walking or cycling around.

Contemporary culture
The most iconic building in the Marina is the Veles e Vents. It is an example of minimalist contemporary architecture whose floors seem to float in the air and lean out over the sea. It houses a concert hall where you can also find exhibitions and displays of the performing arts. In addition, one of the old tinglados (storage warehouses) in the port of Valencia is fitted out as a cultural space in which various festivals and leisure activities are organised, enhanced by the industrial character of this historic building catalogued as a Local Heritage Asset.

Mediterranean cuisine
Make the most of the trip by enjoying delicious food next to the sea. The Marina has around 15 restaurants whose menus include the traditional rice dishes of the area and freshly caught fish. In the Veles e Vents building you will find one of them, with several international awards and with a viewpoint that offers spectacular views of the city, marina and beach.

Boat trips and regattas
Visiting the Marina means experiencing the sea, and to get the most out of it we recommend a boat trip organised by the companies in the port. They combine sailing with food, parties on board, watching the sunset or small excursions. You can also enjoy the sea from dry land. For example, the Marina holds several regattas and is home to the Casa de la Copa, which publicises the prestigious America’s Cup.

Unusual forms of self-care
A feeling of wellbeing is almost instantaneous when walking along the seafront or eating with views of the Mediterranean. However, you can go further here: from yoga on the beach to trying an original form of yoga in the sea known as SUP Yoga. If you prefer more active sports you can go kayaking, ride a jet ski or try paddleboarding. If you need to release some adrenaline, why not try flying over the sea with water-propelled boots (no experience needed).

The end of the day in Valencia can also have a very Mediterranean feel. The Marina has plenty of terraces with music and some bars are known for their DJ sessions and party atmosphere.

Art Nouveau route
Art Nouveau architecture is another of the attractions of the Valencia Marina. The dry dock, the Edificio del Reloj, the fish market and the Casa dels Bous are some of the most characteristic buildings. The Art Nouveau neighbourhood of Cabanyal is very close to here. It is an old fishing village with guided tours organised by the Valencia Tourist Office.
