How to get to the airport


Cab

There are taxi ranks in front of Arrivals in Terminal T1, the Barcelona-Madrid Corridor and Terminals T2 A, T2 B and T2 C. The surcharge for airport taxis is €4.50. The approximate cost of a taxi between the airport and Barcelona city centre ranges between €30 and €40.

Train

Direct connection between terminal T2 and the city centre via Renfe Cercanías line R2 Nord. 

Meter

The metro line L9 Sud runs from the airport to Zona Universitària, stopping at Fira, Parc Logístic, Mercabarna and other points. This ticket costs €5.50.

Highway

Road access to the airport is via the C-31 Barcelona-Castelldefels motorway. Take the B-22 turn-off for T1 and the C-32B turn-off for T2 terminals. There is a slip road linking T1 and T2. From the ring roads around the city of Barcelona, access is from the section known as the Pata Sur.

 

Bus

The Aerobús express line runs a direct route to Barcelona city centre from terminals T1 (Aerobús A1) and T2 (Aerobús A2), with frequent services throughout the day. During the day, public bus line 46 also serves both terminals, connecting them to Plaza Espanya in Barcelona; at night, lines N17 (from T1) and N18 (from T1 as well as serving T2) connect the airport to the centre.

- N19 (Castelldefels - El Prat de Llobregat, stopping at the terminals)

- L77 (Sant Joan Despí - Airport - Gavà)

- PR1, PR2 y PR3 (El Prat de Llobregat-Airport)

Connection between terminals

Barcelona airport has a free shuttle bus that runs between terminals T1 and T2. It operates 24 hours a day every 5 to 10 minutes.
